Robert "Robby" Leon Delp, son of Ronald LeRoy Delp and Bernadette Marie Sheehy Delp, was born May 17, 1964 in Dallas County and died August 22, 2005 in Ames, Iowa at the age of 41 years, 3 months and 5 days. Robby was a lifelong resident of Grand Junction. He graduated from East Greene High School in Grand Junction, Iowa with the Class of 1982. Robby was the proud father of one daughter Sydney Delp. He stayed busy working construction hanging dry wall as well as other construction work. He was a proud member of the Carpenter's Union 106. In Robby's spare time he loved to fix things as well as work on cars especially when he had his own drag car. He also liked to play computer games and you could often find him playing a good game of Texas Hold'em. Robby was preceded in death by his mother: his grandparents: Milton Delp, Cecil Crooks Delp, Bernard and Helen Sheehy. He is survived by his father: Ronald Delp of Grand Junction; his daughter: Sydney Delp of Jefferson; his sister: Tonya Fisher and her husband David of Murray, Iowa; 2 brothers: Rocky Delp and his wife Sandy of Dana, Iowa and Randy Delp of Grand Junction, Iowa; Nephews: Jason Delp, Joe Fisher, Jarrett Delp and Eric Kibby; Nieces: Danielle Delp, Tara Fisher, Monica Delp, Mallory Delp, Jessica Cavanaugh, Mandy Sims; numerous aunts and uncles, other relatives and many friends.
