Halcyon Kistler

Halcyon Mae Tolle Kistler, daughter of Edgar Milton Tolle and Iva Mae Crews Tolle wa born September 18, 1925 in Perry, Iowa and died February 19, 2005 at the Dallas County Hospital at the age of 79 years, 5 months and 1 day. Halcyon attended school in Perry and graduated from Perry High School with the class of 1943. She was a member of The National Honor Society. After high school Halcyon went to school to become a nurse. On June 12, 1945 Halcyon was united in marriage to Norman C. Kistler at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Perry., Iowa. They were the parents of three children: Walt, Kathleen and Korlyss. The family made their home in Perry, Iowa. In 1971, the family moved to Montana when Norman was relocated with his job on the railroad. Halcyon lived in Montana until about three years ago when she moved back to Perry, Iowa. Halcyon enjoyed crafting of all sorts, such as sewing, crocheting and knitting. She also loved to garden, both green plants and blooming plants. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Regina Guild, as well as Business and Professional Women. Halcyon was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Norman in 1978, daughter Korlyss Mae Kistler and brother E. LeRoy Tolle. She is survived by her daughter Kathleen Norskog and her husband Jackson of San Diego, California; son: Walt Kistler and his wife Jean of Perry; sisters: Veva Ellett and Juanita Dorman both of Perry; brothers: Ron Tolle and his wife Donna of Perry and Rex Tolle and his wife Doreen of Arkansas; sister-in-law: Alyce Conley of Altoona; other relatives and many friends.
