Eldon Hastie

Eldon "Dean" Hastie was born to Louis and Gladys Hastie of Perry Iowa, on January 28th 1930, and died on July 20th, 2009 in Arlington, Virginia, after a short illness at the age78 years, 5 months and 22 days. A Service of Remembrance was held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday August 22, 2009 at Hastings Funeral Home, Perry, Iowa. His family and friends shared words of remembrances. Dean's honorary bearers were His Children and Grandchildren, with Graveside services were at Violet Hill Cemetery, Perry, Iowa Dean as he was known to his friends, joined his Parents; Louis and Gladys Hastie , as well as two brothers; Kenneth Hastie and Clifford Hastie. Dean, is survived his beloved Wife "Angel" of Alexandria, Virginia, Daughter, Vicki Selleck, of Greenfield, Iowa, son, Chris Hastie and daughter-in-law Debbie Hastie of Phoenix, Az. and by his sister, Verna Thompson, of Indianapolis, Indiana. Also left behind are his grandchildren: Katie Hastie from Denver Co. Kyle Hastie from Colorado Springs, Co. Jordan Hastie from Phoenix, Az. Christina Sanchez from Phoenix, Az. and Michael Sanchez from Phoenix, Az. Dean also had three great-grandchildren: Kayne Hastie, Kaori Davenport, and Malik Davenport from Denver, Co. He will be truly missed. As Dad would always say; "May you have many happy tomorrows"
